Our Staff

Rev. Joe Blosser, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer

Joe earned a Ph.D. in ethics from the University of Chicago, a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Religion from TCU. He’s an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He previously served as the founding Executive Director of the Center for Community Engagement and Associate Professor of Religion and Philosophy at High Point University. He’s the author of the book “To Love Our Neighbors: Radical Practices in Solidarity, Sufficiency & Sustainability” as well as numerous articles and book chapters on ethics, economics, and sustainable community development. In addition to serving on several nonprofit boards, he chairs the North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service. Joe lives in High Point with his wife and two children.

Megan Oglesby

Senior Advisor

Megan earned a Master of Business Administration from High Point University and a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications from Elon University. She was hired in 2018 as the inaugural Executive Director of the Earl and Kathryn Congdon Family Foundation and now serves as Senior Advisor. Through her leadership, the Foundation has advanced its mission of creating access to opportunity and driving economic development in High Point and the greater Carolina Core. Megan’s passion for community impact also inspired her to launch businesses for good—including serving as the Principal Investor of Carolina Core FC, a professional men’s soccer club competing in MLS NEXT Pro, and as a Founding Board Member and Investor in WPSL Pro, a new Division II women’s professional soccer league. Both initiatives extend the Foundation’s vision of building strong communities through job creation, youth development, and civic pride. Beyond her work with the Foundation, Megan serves as an Advisor with Grant Philanthropic Advisors, supporting families in aligning their wealth with purpose. She also mentors emerging leaders through the High Point University Women’s Leadership Program and other individual and group mentorship initiatives. A native of High Point, Megan lives there with her husband and three children.

Kristin Cain

Senior Accountant & Finance Manager

Kristin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Applications – Visual Arts, from North Carolina State University. She previously served as a Staff Accountant and QuickBooks Advisor at Sledge and Company, PLLC. Kristin serves on several nonprofit boards and is engaged in serving her community through scouting and her work at church. Kristin is a local from High Point and continues to live here with her daughter.
